CNA Training in Massachusetts

Getting your training from the Red Cross is always a good idea. There are many centers offering CNA classes in Massachusetts. The cost for the classes is roughly $1250. You do not need a GED or a high school diploma to enroll in the course. You will however need to get a TB test done as well as pass a routine grammar and Mathematics exam. This is just to ensure that your reading and writing levels are acceptable.Once you complete the course, the exams for the state license can be done at the same Red Cross facility. This is another advantage since you will already be familiar with the facility.

Bunker Hill has a Patient Care technician program that expands on the normal nursing assistant curriculum. It is a 26 credit hour course that serves as an excellent career option on its own while also providing the relevant prerequisite for a number of advanced nursing programs such as Registered nursing and practical nursing. The estimated cost of the program is around $4600 which includes tuition fees, admission fees as well as any text books that you might need. You must have a GED or a high school diploma to take part in this program. You must also have acceptable English and mathematics skills.

North Shore does not provide credit hours for its nurse assistant course. You will receive a certificate of completion when you are done with the 100 hours of studying and you will also be eligible to take the state certification exam.If you’re looking for a program that will be easy and quick to complete, this might be your best option. What matters is that you can take the state exam and get a CNA license upon completion.

      Most programs require you to be at least 18, however some high schools offer the training to students in their last year of schooling. The cost varies from $400 up to $2000 in some vocational centers.

      You can try contacting a training center from the list above which is near your area of residence. Most of them have classes every couple of months.

    Hi,
    I am a Stay-at-home mom , that is looking to get back into the workforce. I am very interested in becoming a CNA in the states of RI or MA.
    I have no previous experience , but I am interested in getting my license. Where can I look for free class’s in these two states ? And can you take classes P/T ? How long does it take to get your license ? Thanks
