CNA Training in South Dakota

There are options for you if you want to train to work as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in South Dakota. Read school reviews below.

One of the best options is to train through Avera Education and Staffing Solutions.  This CNA training program includes 75 hours of training.  Some of that training will include lectures and demonstrations.  You will spend 35 hours participating in clinical experience.  During the clinical portion of the training program, you will complete various CNA tasks and duties for patients under the supervision of an LPN or a registered nurse.  The Avera Education and Staffing Solutions’ CNA program has been approved by the Board of Nursing in South Dakota.  As such it meets all requirements for programs that train nursing assistants for certification.

Avera Education in South Dakota offers an affordable way to become a CNA.  You will train in a small class rather than training with an abundance of other students.  There will be at least 4 people in each class.  Classes are offered for new students each month.  Upon completion of this CNA training course, students can take the certification exam to receive their CNA credentials.  The starting salary for a CNA in this state is usually around $25,000 with the opportunity to earn more income as you become more experienced.

Hilary, Excuse us for the delayed response. As of right now, I am not seeing anything on the Western Dakota Tech website that refers to them having a training course available for CNA. They do however, have an LPN program open. I would suggest calling them as they may partner with another local facility for training but not offer it directly. Here is their number: 800-544-8765.
