You can easily start a career in the healthcare industry by spending a few weeks training to become a CNA. As a CNA, you will provide some basic care for patients in a healthcare setting. This can include assisting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs and providing other basic (primarily non-medical care). Here are ways to get free training in West Virginia:
If you are already working for a healthcare provider, but in a non-medical position, you might consider training to become a nursing assistant. You should talk to your employer about your new career goals. If you are a hard-working and motivated employee, it is possible that your employer will agree to cover the cost of your training as long as you continue to work for that employer once you are certified. This is one easy way to receive free CNA training.
You can search for cna training programs at local nursing care facilities and through other healthcare providers. It is often possible to be hired to work for the facility as a nursing assistant and to have this training provided with you. You will likely need to work for that employer for a specified amount of time before taking a job somewhere else if your training is provided at no cost to you.
Contact the local job placement agencies and assistance offices if you are unemployed or low-income and looking to have a new career. There are often programs available to help you receive some type of training. You might be able to opt to receiving free cna training.

I have been trying for over a year now to get enrolled in a cna class. I have applied online at the Genesis group but have never gotten a response and i have recently tried to apply online with camden clark hospital but the website took me to their job openings only . i am very much so determined to get in the cna program . i have worked in a rest home for a while as a beautician , but i want more out of a career than just minimum wage, and i want desperately to do what i love most which is working with the elderly ! Any response would greatly be appreciated ! Thank you ! Sheila Satow
I worked as certified nurse aid in Oklahoma for about twenty -seven years and when it was time to renew my license the state would not allow me to renew them due to back taxes that my husband owed. So, I payed the taxes now I just owe interest, but I now live in Salem, Wv and now they are expired so I have to go thru training again. I have worked home-health and long term care throughout my years. If anyone can give me guidance on where to get training and testing done this summer would be much appreciated.
