The Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez Alaska is part of the Providence Healthcare System.  They provide excellent medical services for residents of Alaska.  Skilled nursing care services are also part of the health system.  Individuals who wish to become employed for the healthcare system as certified nursing assistants can apply for acceptance into the state certified training program.  They must then work for the Providence health system for at least two years.

Providence Wesley Rehabilitation Center is a nursing care facility and rehabilitation center based out of Seward Alaska.  This is a privately run care provider.  They offer one of the state-approved nursing assistant training programs.  Students will receive hands on experience by working with residence of the Rehabilitation Center.  After individuals complete the training, they can sit for the certification exam.

The South Peninsula Hospital offers extensive services for patients visiting the Homer Alaska hospital.  The South Peninsula Hospital provides nursing assistant training options.  Individuals can apply to attend one of the CNA training programs.  Full reimbursement for the course can be received if students successfully complete the class and pass the exam to become certified.  They must also agree to work for the healthcare facility for at least one year.

University of Alaska Southeast CNA certification class – Juneau

The University of Alaska Southeast is located between the Mendenhall Glacier and the Inside Passage in Juneau Alaska.  They offer a variety of degree and career training programs.  During the fall and spring semesters students can enroll in a nursing assistant training program.  The program is worth 9 credits. It will prepare students to sit for the nursing assistant certification exam and to start a successful career as a CNA.
