Find out how you can get free CNA inservices. If you are working as a nursing assistant, you have probably realized that your training is never completely done once you receive your nursing assistant certification.  If you work as a CNA, there will be times when you need to complete more continuing education credits and to attend CNA related inservices.  In fact, these things are sometimes required in order to keep your certification active or when it is time to renew your certification.

A CNA inservice is often a class that lasts for one day or more and helps you to obtain the necessary continuing education credits to retain your CNA license.  These inservices might be offered through the Red Cross, at the healthcare facility where you work or even at a local community college.  Some CNA inservices and course requirements will also be available online.

You can go to a tech school that offers cna and financial aid will pay for it. Also, you can go to the Dept. of Labor in your area, and ask about the WIA program, and it will pay for your schooling as well! Good Luck!!!

I am a CNA in Michigan and just received news that I am supposed tohave so many hours of inservises in order to beable to renew my certification. This is all new news to me being I did not have these requirements for my last renewal. How would I go about these inservises? I am unsure if my job offers the inservices.

My CNA certification expires next month. I am currently unemployed. I need 24 hours approved by the state of Texas. I think I understand that I cannot get all 24 hours taking online courses. I was employed at a local hospital in the newborn nursery. Do these hours qualify as CEUs? If not, where can I get my necessary hours before my cert expires?
