CNA Test Questions

CNA test questions are the questions found on the certification exam for those testing to be certified nursing assistants.  CNAs assist patients with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, record information in charts, move patients and perform other basic care tasks.

A CNA test is the last step in the process of becoming a certified nursing assistant.  The test cannot be taken until an individual completes all portions of an accredited CNA training program.  The certification exam has a written portion with multiple-choice questions in addition to a skills segment of the test.
The CNA test questions pertain to materials learned during the CNA training course.  The written portion of the test can include questions pertaining to tasks that will be completed as a CNA as well as some basic medical procedures.  CNA test questions can also test a potential CNAs knowledge of how to protect a patient’s privacy and dignity.  Safety questions can also be found on a CNA exam. Take good notes during your CNA training course.  Some of the notes that you take will help you to have an idea of the questions that will be asked on the test.  If you hear your instructor repeat any information over and over again, highlight that information.  There is a good chance that you will need to know that material for the certification exam.

Talk to your instructor about the type of questions that might be found on the test.  They should be able to give you a general idea about the format of questions on the test and some of the basic information that will certainly be covered on a CNA certification exam.

For an idea of CNA test questions, CNA students can review their tests and quizzes from the training classes.  Many of these questions will probably be seen in some form on the test.  Even if the questions were not in multiple-choice format, it is important to have an understanding of the correct answers for all questions seen on tests during the CNA training program.

Test booklets and study guides should be studies carefully in order to prepare for CNA test questions.  Samples questions in these books and questions that were not seen on tests during the course can still provide valuable resources when studying for the test.  Those preparing to become CNAs should discuss any materials that are confusing before the rest.

CNA sample tests can be found online and test preparation guides can also be purchased.  These sample tests and guides will provide samples questions as well as a basic idea of the other types of questions that will be seen on the certification test.  Some of the very questions on these study guides will probably be seen in some form or another on the test.

Aside from the written questions for the exam, you will want to prepare to demonstrate several CNA skills.  You can do this by practicing on family and friends.  Ask them to pretend they are the patient for awhile.  Watching demonstration videos can also come in handy when you are getting ready for the certification exam.
