To get started you need to attend a recruitment meeting to find out how the whole process works. You will need to have a GED and be willing to take a drug and background check.

State of Delaware Nursing Incentive Program

This is an incentive program that was started to get people to work in state hospitals after they graduate. While working for the state may not be as lucrative as private institutions, any grant you get from this program forces you to work for one for at least a year after graduating. Unfortunately, this program only provides tuition assistance for LPN’s and not CNA’s. We still thought it would be useful.

Delaware Community Foundation – Jill Biden Scholarship

This is a general scholarship that is available to anyone who has completed high school in Delaware. We’re not totally sure, but they cover scholarships for any health career which should include nurse aide training. To qualify you need to fill out an essay.

Seriously concerned about my future I’ve tried different avenues. My heart truely wants to help and care for people. My financial situation is very hectic at the present time. I’m very interrested in a cna class that is being offered anywhere in Delaware at no cost. I’m submitting this comment only in hopes that just maybe someone could point me In the right direction.
