You can have a good career as an entry-level healthcare worker in D.C. if you train to work as a CNA. The rate of pay for nursing assistants in D.C. is better than those in most states of the United States. You can easily earn between $28,000 and $38,000 depending on your experience and the healthcare facility for which you work. Sometimes it is even possible to receive free CNA training. You cannot work as a CNA until you graduate from a program approved by D.C. Legislation and pass the subsequent certification exam. We’ve listed a few free training opportunities below.
Nursing assistant training can be received at many nursing care facilities throughout the District of Columbia. These facilities will sometimes provide you with your training for free. It will usually be required of you to agree to work for that facility for several months to a year if you are provided with your training at no cost to you. You will have employment at the agency upon completion your training.
Some high schools and other public vocational schools in District of Columbia. offer nursing assistant training. If you are a student of one of these schools, you will be able to receive training at no cost. This is certainly an option if you are already determined to start out in a career as a certified nursing assistant. If you attend a community college for nursing assistant training, there will be tuition costs. Contact the financial aid office to determine if you can receive grants and scholarships.
If you once served in the military or if your service is about to end, you might be able to receive assistance paying for your tuition. Contact your benefits director to determine if any of your educational benefits can be used to take certified nursing assistant training to start your new career as a civilian.

UDC Community College has a 6 weeks course for CNA but you have to be a DC resident look at there website they offer a lot classes only if you are a DC resident and they are FREE.
