You can train to become a nursing assistant in many locations throughout New Jersey. If you want to be eligible to take the nursing assistant certification exam, you will need to enroll in a training program that has been state approved and as such meets all standards set forth by the Department of Health and Senior Services in New Jersey. Nursing assistant training programs teach students to care for the physical, social and emotional needs of patients. The courses include classroom segments as well as hands on clinical training.
