CNA Training in Kentucky

You can become a nursing assistant in Kentucky by completing a state approved training program.  After finishing the training course, you will need to pass the CNA certification exam.  The criteria for the nursing assistant certification exam are established by the Kentucky Community Technical College System.  Test questions must meet the standards of the state-approved SRNA curriculum.  The Nurse Aide Training Advisory Committee helps to ensure that all components of the CNA exam meet the state and national standards.  A training course is designed to prepare students well to pass the certification exam. Read training center reviews below.

The nursing assistant certification exam includes 75 multiple choice questions for the written part of the test.  In order to pass this portion of the test, students must answer 70% or more of the questions correctly.  The second part of the test requires students to successfully complete/demonstrate five nursing assistant skills.  The average salary for nursing assistants in Kentucky might seem lower than that of other states.  Most CNAs earn between $21,000 and $24,000 each year.  You might find that the cost of living in many areas of Kentucky is lower than that of large cities in other states and therefore it is not difficult to do well on a CNA salary.
