If you are looking for a career in the healthcare industry where you can provide basic care services for you patients, you should consider training as a certified nursing assistant. CNAs help patients with a variety of activities of daily living such as: bathing, dressing, eating and walking. Nursing assistants monitor patient vital signs and report any noticeable changes in a patient’s condition to the appropriate healthcare staff members. We have listed a few exceptional free training opportunities below:
The Kentucky Works Program provides services for individuals who are receiving assistance benefits. You can often access training opportunities through this program. It is not uncommon to be able to receive assistance paying for CNA training. In fact, you might be able to receive enough help to cover the cost of your training in its entirety. Free training will help you start on the path to a better career.
You should contact local nursing care facilities in your community if you are interested in training to become a nursing assistant. Nursing homes and long-term care communities, often have the highest demand for CNAs. It can be difficult for these facilities to keep up with the demand for trained nursing assistants. Therefore, these facilities often offer training for individuals who will come to work for them as a CNA about certification.
Contact the financial aid department for colleges and other continuing education providers who offer nursing assistant training. It is often possible to receive grants or scholarships for these programs. A financial aid officer can help you determine if a financial package is available to you that will cover the entire cost for training to become a nursing assistant in Kentucky.

I am interested in the can training and a position. If you can assist me in the right direction. I am a student at Kentucky state university. I would like to get registered and complete the course while I am on my winter break.
I live in covington ky and looking to work while earning my cna certification
I have over 8 years experience in a clinic. I worked over five years as a Medical assistant. I didn’t get certified is there anyway to get certified in Ky. by an employer or is there a test you can take without attending classes.
I worked as a CNA in paducah Kentucky the last time i worked was in 2009 would i have to take the courses over again? I enjoyed my job. I had to quit and move to Louisville Kentucky to take care of my mom. I was like her care giver. Would that still qualify as CNA work? I need torecertify and would love to do that as soon as possible.
I would like to start can classes as soon as possible..i need to be able to attend the classes around my present work schedule..but I am very eager to get started.
