Training to become a CNA is a good option if you are looking for a fast and inexpensive way to enter into the healthcare field or if you are looking for a more advanced career in healthcare.  You will need to locate a state certified nursing assistant training school and pass the certification exam in order to become certified.  Read below for free training opportunities:

It is not uncommon for nursing care facilities and even some hospitals to offer CNA training on-site.  These facilities will often hire individuals who they think will provide excellent care as nursing assistants.  The agency will then pay for the individual to complete their CNA training.  Prospective CNAs can receive free cna training as long as they use that training to work as a CNA for the healthcare facility providing training for awhile.

Colleges and other forms of higher education often offer nursing assistant training as well.  Some of these programs are for credit hours and others are not.  You should contact the financial aid office to determine if the CNA classes make you eligible to apply for any grants or scholarships.  You might find that there are organizations and departments in your community that provide scholarships and grants.  You should take the time to apply for some free cna training options that you feel you might qualify for in order to increase the possibility of receiving free cna training.

Talk to your caseworker if you are currently receiving welfare benefits for yourself or your family.  You might be able to access funds to help you cover the cost of CNA training if you are looking to start a new career in order to become self sufficient.  Do not be shy about expressing your interest in training for a job as a CNA.
